1. System Requirements
    The following are operating environmental requirements for using the fax driver.
    * CPU
        Any processor of the same or higher specifications as recommended for your operating system.
    * Operating system
        Windows Server 2008 (x86/x64)
        Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64)
        Windows 7 (x86/x64)
        Windows Server 2012 (x64)
        Windows Server 2012 R2 (x64)
        Windows 8.1 (x86/x64)
        Windows 10 (x86/x64)
        Windows Server 2016 (x64)
        Windows Server 2019 (x64)
    * Memory
        Memory capacity as recommended for your operating system.
        Sufficient memory resource is required for your operating system and the applications to be used.
    * Interface
        Ethernet 10Base-T/100Base-TX
        USB port compatible with USB Revision 2.0
    * Driver
        CD-ROM drive

     Reference
     - Either of the installer or Add Printer Wizard can be used to install the printer driver.
     - To use the fax driver for PC-FAX transmission, optional Fax Kit FK-510 and Extended Operation Panel
     MK-733 are required.
     - Administrator authority is required for installation.
     - If a wizard screen is displayed to add a new hardware product at USB connection, click [Cancel].



2. Automatic installation using the installer
   The installer automatically detects the printer on the same TCP/IP network as your computer or the machine
   connected via USB to your computer, and allows you to install the required fax driver.
   The printer driver that can be installed using the installer is fax driver.

   Reference
   - If you do not agree to the terms in the [License Agreement] displayed during the installation process,
     the process will not continue.

2.1 Installation (USB connection)
(1) Check that this machine is not connected to a computer using a USB cable.
   *Do not connect a USB cable to this machine until a connection instruction message appears in the
   screen.
(2) Insert the fax driver CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of the computer.
(3) Open the [PCFAX_driver] folder on the CD-ROM, and double-click [Setup.exe].
    *If a wizard screen is displayed to add a new hardware product, click [Cancel].
    *If the [User Account Control] screen appears, click [Allow] or [Continue].
(4) Select a desired language, and click [OK].
    The fax driver installer starts.
(5) Click [Next].
(6) To agree to all terms in the license agreement, click [I accept the terms of the License Agreement] and
    click [Next].
(7) Select the model of this machine, select [USB], and click [Next].
    *When the Verify the publisher dialog box of [Windows Security] appears,
    click [Install this driver software anyway].
    Installation starts.
(8) If the message [Please plug USB to connect PC and device.] appears, connect this machine and the
    computer using a USB cable.
    Installation is continued.
(9) In the completion dialog box, click [finish].

2.2 Installation (Network connection)
    To use this machine as part of a network, connect the computer with this machine via the network and check
    the IP address and RAW port number (default: [9100]) before installing the fax driver.

    Reference
    To check the IP address and RAW port number, select [TCP/IP Configuration] and [IPv4 Configuration]. For
    details on the network settings, refer to [Network Setting] of [User's Guide Network Administrator], and 
    Web Connection - [Network] - [TCP/IP Configuration] and [Network] - [IPv4 Configuration].

(1) Check that this machine is connected to the computer via the network.
(2) Insert the fax driver CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of the computer.
(3) Open the [PCFAX_driver] folder on the CD-ROM, and double-click [Setup.exe].
    *If a wizard screen is displayed to add a new hardware product, click [Cancel].
    *If the [User Account Control] screen appears, click [Allow] or [Continue].
(4) Select a desired language, and click [OK].
    The fax driver installer starts.
(5) Select [Next] and click [Next].
(6) To agree to all terms in the license agreement, click [I accept the terms of the License Agreement] and
    click [Next].
(7) Select the model of this machine, and also select [Network].
(8) Enter the IP address, and click [Next].
    *Clicking [Search] automatically searches for the IP address.
    *When a screen for verifying the publisher of [Windows Security] appears,
    click [Install the driver software anyway].
    Installation starts.
(9) Click [finish] in the finish screen.



3. Uninstalling the fax driver
   This section describes how to delete the fax driver.
   When you have to remove the fax driver, for example, when reinstallation of the fax driver is necessary, remove
   the driver using the following procedure.

3.1 Manual uninstallation
    Removing the fax driver manually
(1) Open the [Printers], [Devices and Printers], or [Printers and Faxes] window.
(2) Select the icon of the fax to be removed.
(3) Remove the fax driver.
    *In Windows Server 2008, press the Delete key on the computer keyboard.
    *In Windows Server 2008 R2/7/Server 2012/Server 2012 R2/8.1/10/Server 2016/Server 2019,
     click [Remove device] on the toolbar.
(4) From then on, follow the instructions on the pages that follow.
    When removal is completed, the icon will disappear in the [Printers], [Devices and Printers], 
    or [Printers and Faxes] window.
    Remove the fax driver from the server properties.
(5) Open the [Server Properties].
    *In Windows Server 2008, right-click on the area that has nothing displayed in the [Printers] window,
     then click [Run as administrator] - [Server Properties].
    *In Windows Server 2008 R2/7/Server 2012/Server 2012 R2/8.1/10/Server 2016/Server 2019,
     select other printer, then click [Print Server Properties] on the toolbar.
    *If the [User Account Control] window appears, click [Continue] or [Yes].
(6) Click the [Driver] tab.
    *In Windows 7/8.1/10, click [Change Form Settings] located in the lower left corner of the
    window to run as the administrator authority.
(7) From the [Installed printer drivers:] list, select the fax driver to be removed, and click [Remove...].
(8) In a window confirming the target to be removed, select [Remove driver only.] or [Remove driver and driver package.], then click [OK].
(9) In the dialog box for confirming whether you are sure to remove the target, click [Yes].
    *The dialog box appears to reconfirm if you are sure. Click [Uninstall].
(10)Close the open windows, and then restart the computer.
    *Be sure to restart the computer.
    This completes removing the fax driver.



4. Release Note

4.1 General
    Fax Driver doesn't support "Watermark"
   * Watermark of double-byte character may not be able to indicate by boldface.
   * If the Watermark is set by changing the zoom ratio from the driver,
     the zoom setting does not work for Watermark.
